| Herein are the Artistic Requisite Guidelines specifically for a Poet (hereinafter referred to as the “Artist”) inquiring to be a "Spotlight Artist" on RainTiger ® Net Works's website, www.raintiger.com, and guidelines for submission of all original poetry for publication by RainTiger ® Net Works (hereinafter referred to as "RainTiger"). |
| Definition of Terms |
- "Spotlight Artist" is an artist chosen by RainTiger to be featured in one of the monthly editions of RainTiger.com.
- "Content" is any material submitted by an Artist for use by RainTiger, including but not limited to a biography, an image, or an Artist's material work.
- "Work" is the material(s) produced by the Artist.

| Background Information |
| All submissions must include the Artist's personal information, a usable headshot photograph of the Artist, and the Artist's biographical information. The requirements for such submissions are detailed below..

| Personal Information
|
| All personal information regarding the Artist is for RainTiger's administrative use only and is held strictly in confidence. Please include the following information along with your submission:
|
- A full legal name (first name, middle initial if applicable and last name)
- An alias, nickname or penname (if within the Artist's respective field, this is what the Artists is better known as)
- A valid and working e-mail address for which the Artist checks regularly
- Mailing address (including city, state, zip)
- Home phone number or a valid telephone contact number

| In the event that more information or clarification is needed on an Artist's submission, RainTiger will use the information provided to contact the Artist. Please note that the Artist's place of residence and all phone numbers will not be released or displayed on RainTiger or to any other external party or affiliate site. RainTiger can release this information to potential clients or parties of the Artist's choice, but only with the expressed written consent of the Artist.

| Biographical Information
|
| The purpose of the biographical statement is to introduce the Artist's works to a worldwide audience. RainTiger includes a page with a short biography of all Artists that are being "Spotlighted" on the site.
|
- All Artists must submit a truthful and current brief biography written in third-person.
- All biographies must be typewritten, single-spaced, and at least 200 words in length, however, 350–450 words in length are highly recommended.
- The submission of biographies must be put in the body of an e-mail message or added as an attachment in TXT, HTLM, RTF or DOC format.

| Content Submission

| Submission Deadline
|
| The deadline to submit all artistic content to RainTiger is the 15th of each month, this includes a biography and headshots. If we do not receive all content by 11:59 p.m. on the 15 th of the month, your spotlight feature will be postponed until further notice.

| Images
|
- All Artists must submit at least one headshot photograph for valid consideration. However, RainTiger recommends that the Artist submit two or more photographs with different poses.
- Image(s) must be clear and in JPEG or GIF format.
|
| Requisites |
- Poems must be in English or translated into English if originally in another language. Indicate language of origin.
- Poems must be typewritten and single-spaced.
- Five full Poems (Eight is recommended)
- Note: Short poems count as half of one poem (i.e. Haiku’s and any poem that is ten lines or less).
- Poems must be put in body of e-mail message or added as an attachment in TXT, HTLM, RTF or DOC format.

| The terms of these agreements begin when the Artist's work is published and viewable on RainTiger ® Net Works's website, www.raintiger.com (hereinafter referred to as "RainTiger"). These terms end when the Artist's work is no longer viewable or used as content on RainTiger. |
| Original Content & Plagiarism |
| All artwork or written work must be the original work of the Artist. Submission of any work by the Artist to RainTiger will constitute acknowledgement by the Artist that the work submitted is wholly and exclusively the work of the Artist. Any work later discovered to be plagiarized, forged or otherwise falsely acquired by the Artist will be immediately removed from RainTiger's website and the Artist will be barred from further submission. Only work submitted by the Artist or submitted by a third-party on behalf of the Artist will be accepted by RainTiger. We will not reproduce any Artist's work submitted by a third-party without Artist's expressed written consent. |
| Published & Unpublished Work |
| RainTiger accepts published and unpublished work. If the work has been published prior to submission, it has to have been previously published in the Artist's name to qualify. RainTiger reserves the right to republish the work in an anthology, with the Artist's consent. If RainTiger happens to do so, the original copyrights are still within the Artist's jurisdiction. The anthology itself is the sole possession of RainTiger. RainTiger does not hold the Artist responsible for their work outside of RainTiger. The Artist may republish any of their material online or in print form as he or she wishes. |
| Privacy Policy |
| The privacy of the Artist is important to RainTiger and RainTiger is committed to protecting it.
RainTiger does not sell, rent, or trade any e-mail address the Artist provides. RainTiger only post an Artist's e-mail address in relation to their particular artwork, poetry, stories, or editorials, and this is done only with the Artist's consent. |
| Representation |
| The opinions, words and thoughts expressed by all contributing Artists appearing on RainTiger are not necessarily the opinion of RainTiger, its staff or affiliates. By submitting works to RainTiger, the Artist acknowledges that said work is not in violation of any prior United States and/or international copyright agreements. |
| Limitation of Liability |
| The Artist also acknowledges that any legal recourse involving copyright infringement(s), plagiarism, and/or any other type of fraud is the sole responsibility of the Artist, furthermore exonerating RainTiger, and its affiliates completely. |
| Content Policy |
| While RainTiger, Inc. believes in and respects freedom of expression, we reserve the right not to publish or post to the website, any work or related materials that contain any form of racism, bigotry, anti-Semitism or pornographic material. Furthermore, we reserve the right to assign a ratings system to the content we do accept, at our own discretion and according to our own internal guidelines. |
| Policy Change |
| RainTiger reserves the right to make changes to these policies and encourages the Artist to review the privacy policy frequently. By continued use of this website, the Artist agrees to accept these terms and any changes.
