  Scott Nicholson
Scott Nicholson was born in Mooresville, North Carolina, and has lived in many North Carolina towns, including Goldsboro, Asheboro, Sylva, Taylorsville, Forest City, Gastonia and Tryon. Scott's first novel The Red Church inspired by an actual haunted church near his home, was released as a mass market paperback in 2002. It was selected for three book-of-the-month clubs and was a Bram Stoker Award finalist. His novel The Harvest was published in 2003, with The Manor scheduled for release in September 2004.

Scott won the grand prize in the international Writers of the Future contest in 1999. That same year, he was first runner-up for the Darrell Award and his work was recommended for both the Stoker and Nebula Awards. He studied Creative Writing at Appalachian State University and UNC-Chapel Hill and served as secretary for the southeastern chapter of the Mystery Writers of America. He's published over 40 stories in six different countries, some of which appear in his collection Thank You For the Flowers. Scott has also published many writing articles and his website http://www.hauntedcomputer.com features a number of author interviews, articles, and fiction....

Next on my Plate

Sometimes it is the set backs that give us the best lessons. Recently, I have faced some work related frustrations. For years, I kept with my job because it was the responsible thing to do. I have my dreams and aspirations, but they needed to take a back seat to my bills an obligations. I kept my dreams in the picture, but they always took a back seat.
