Scott Nicholson Scott Nicholson was born in Mooresville, North Carolina, and has lived in many North Carolina towns, including Goldsboro, Asheboro, Sylva, Taylorsville, Forest City, Gastonia and Tryon. Scott's first novel The Red Church inspired by an actual haunted church near his home, was released as a mass market paperback in 2002. It was selected for three book-of-the-month clubs and was a Bram Stoker Award finalist. His novel The Harvest was published in 2003, with The Manor scheduled for release in September 2004.
Scott won the grand prize in the international Writers of the Future contest in 1999. That same year, he was first runner-up for the Darrell Award and his work was recommended for both the Stoker and Nebula Awards. He studied Creative Writing at Appalachian State University and UNC-Chapel Hill and served as secretary for the southeastern chapter of the Mystery Writers of America. He's published over 40 stories in six different countries, some of which appear in his collection Thank You For the Flowers.
